Group Marşandiz has been founded by Tanju Arikan, Koral Saritas, Cemal Kılıç, Tayfun Meric and Kadir Saydam in 1972 in Istanbul. They became one of the most popular Turkish pop bands after they introduced their first long play album. Following years they released their second Long Play album ‘Marsandiz 2’ and third album ‘Marsandiz Disco Folk and Fasil’. In the meantime Cemal Kılıç and Tayfun Meriç parted from the group, Galip Kayıhan, Turhan Yükseler and Kemal Sünnetcioglu joined.
At first they were continuing their work at plaque and television screens. Later they worked in popular clubs such as Sturdust and Gala and accompanied Turkey’s leading artists.
In 1975, they bought one of three studios in Turkey and established a world-class recording studio using the latest technologies of the era.
Until the end of 1980’s Marsandiz has produced many albums for leading artists.
In 1991, after Raks, the biggest audio video cassette manufacturer and filling facility of Turkey, has headed towards music production, Marşandiz has merged with Raks group in the fields of studio and music producing. It has worked with almost every famous singer of Turkey.
In 1998, after the transfer of the companies to Universal Music, it has displayed activities internationally, as well.
Marsandiz have been at the heart of the Turkey music industry for nearly 37 years. It has been the location of countless landmark recordings and remains one of the most technically advanced recording and mixing facilities in Turkey and Middle East still. Our studio is built around SSL 4040G+ and SSL 4048G+ Console which is the only two available in Turkey. Also, Studio C includes Digidesign ICON D-Command, dubbing and 5.1 Surround Mix.
As a result of investigations and researches, we choose to work with the worlds most famous accouistic insulation company RPG (Client list including Peter Gabriel,Whitney Houston, Sony Music etc) to provide the most optimal result.
Since 2000, Studio Marsandiz is now displaying activities in the fields of audio recording, mixing, mastering, mobile recording, live sound and sound recording led by Tanju ARIKAN.
